How To Add An Answer:

Now that you've entered your question text, it's time to add some answers to go along with it.

This section of the documentation deals purely with creating single answer questions. This means of course that each question you create can have only one correct answer.

It can have up to ten possible answers in total, but only one of them can be correct.

So, below the Include Question menu, you'll see ten Include This Answer menus, like this one:

Depending on the size of your screen, you'll typically only see two Include This Answer menus before you have to scroll down to see more.

So as you can see - with each menu, you have three choices:

  • No -- This means you don't wish to include a further answer for this question.

  • Yes - Not Correct Answer -- By choosing this option, you include the answer, but you're telling the software that it is NOT the correct answer for this question.

  • Yes - Is Correct Answer -- By choosing this option, you include the answer and you're telling the software that it IS the correct answer for this question.

In this example, I'll choose for this answer NOT to be the correct one for the question.

And then once I've done that I move over to the Answer Text box, which allows me to enter the actual text that will display for that particular answer.

For example - if the question is "Are you viewing the internet?".

There would be two answers for that question -- Yes & No.

Each of those possible answers would therefore be entered into a separate Answer Text box in this software.

In this example I'm just using dummy text of "A wrong answer":

Then, for the next possible answer, I'll make it the correct answer, and the text for that answer will be "The correct answer":

Now in this example, I've entered two possible answers for question 1.

The minimum number of answers you can enter for any question is two. The maximum is ten.

And of course there must be just one correct answer per question.

In the example I've just gone through above, since we've only entered two possible answers with one of them being correct, if I wanted to I could include up to eight more possible answers. However, since I've already entered the correct answer, the rest would have to be incorrect.

But I could of course go back and change any of these options - for example making answer 2 "Incorrect" and instead answer 1 "Correct".

Next - I'll talk through how to navigate your way through the software to help you create quizzes more quickly.
