Unlike
the single answer questions where each question only has one correct
answer AND you can only enter one answer per question -- these multiple
choice questions allow you to tick/untick as many of the answers
as you would like, and up to ALL of the answers can be correct,
if that's what the quiz creator has chosen.
In
this example - I choose the correct answers for each question and
then click on the Grade Me button:
So
in this example, since I clicked on ALL the correct answers for
every question, I get full marks:
But
I can still double check all the answers by clicking on the View
Solution button:
And
the Solution popup then appears confirming to me which were
the correct answers:
And
as you can see - unlike the Solution popup with single answer
questions, for multiple choice questions the multiple correct answers
for each question are listed.
In
the example above - since I got every single question right, all
the Solution text appears in the default black text color.
However, if I'd got any questions wrong, I'd still see the solutions,
but they'd display in red text.
Now
in this example, even though some of the choices I make are correct,
I don't get a single question entirely correct:
And
because of this - after pressing on the Grade Me button,
the following results display:
With
multiple choice questions, you need to get the multiple answers
exactly right to get that question marked as correct.
In
the example above, even though I got some of the ticks in the right
places, I didn't get a single question entirely correct - and in
the eyes of the quiz, that's still a wrong answer.
Now
just like with the single answer questions quizzes (a quiz can have
multiple choice questions and single answer questions together by
the way, even though these particular examples don't demonstrate
this) the quiz checks whether you've offered answers for every question,
before you can get your results.
In
this example, I choose not to answer a single question, and click
on the Grade Me button:
The
quiz then immediately presents me with the following error prompt:
So
I choose to enter the fully correct answer for question 1, and then
click on the Grade Me button once more:
This
time, it warns me that I've neglected to answer question 2:
So
I enter the correct answer for question 2, and once more click on
the Grade Me button:
And
I once more get an error message, this time telling me I need to
provide an answer for question 3:
So
I then also enter the correct answer for question 3, so that all
three questions have the correct answers:
So
as per usual, to get the results I click on the Grade Me
button and as expected see 100% as my grade on the Results
page:
And
it's useful to note you can use the Reset button at any time
to clear your answers if you wish. If you've entered some answers
but you'd rather start over, if you click on the Reset button:
Everything
you've entered will be cleared:
Now
in this example I'm going to enter incorrect answers for every question.
Note
that even though some of the ticks are in the right places, remember
that EVERY tick for a multiple choice question has to be in the
right place, for that question to be marked as correct:
Then
after clicking upon the Grade Me button, I get the following
expected results:
And
then in the Results page if I click on the View Solution
button, I get the Solution popup.
And
since I got every single question wrong, all the results appear
in red text as you can see:
