There's
several important points to bear in mind with this
software - both when using it to create quizzes, and also that
everyone who takes any quizzes created by this
software should be aware of.
Most
of these points have already been covered throughout this online
documentation, but here's a recap of the important points, and what
to particularly bear in mind:
- After taking
a quiz -- you're on the Results page and choose to click
on the View Solution button to check which are the correct
answers, a small popup window should appear.
If it does not appear, this is most likely due to a popup blocker
installed on your computer, and you may need to temporarily disable
this popup blocker to view the popup successfully.
For more in depth information about this, please see
the following page.
- Any quizzes
created by the Instant
Web Quiz Generator require JavaScript to be enabled within
your browser.
If JavaScript is not enabled within your browser, you'll see a
warning message, and won't be able to take the quiz.
For more in depth information about this, please see
the bottom of the following page.
- The quizzes
this
software creates are designed for and thoroughly tested to
work with Internet Explorer - the most popular web browser by
a very long way.
It was not realistic to get the quiz code to work with EVERY single
browser on the market.
Therefore, if you're taking a quiz and it doesn't seem to be working
properly - if you're not viewing it in Internet Explorer, chances
are that's the problem.
And if you've created a quiz - I would recommend warning your
visitors about this issue, or simply referring them here, so that
if the quiz doesn't appear to be working as it should, they can
understand why, and what they can do about it.
- If when creating
a quiz, you navigate away from the quiz creation page, or exit
the
software entirely, you'll lose all your settings and will
have to start over.
If you're creating a large quiz, or just want to be sure you won't
lose any information, I would suggest writing your questions and
answers into a document initially that you save on your computer.
You can then take as long as you need to write your questions
(as well as spell check them if you're writing them in Microsoft
Word for example) - and once they're ready, you can simply Copy
them from your document, Paste them into the
software, and generate your quiz.
