Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure how many people spend a lot of time on ebay, so I thought I'd let you know that it's free listing fee day. This is great for electronic products, because you could put up as many as you want, testing lots of different factors.

Remember to delete those URL's out of sales letters, though. You don't want all your auctions deleted.

Justin,

Yeah! I saw that and took advantage. Hopefully they won't get
me since I'd carried over URL's of testimonials, etc. into the copy.
I managed to get by so far without a problem... of course, I'm not
a big time ebay.com user yet. My feedback is still less than 10!

Kennon :)

Ken,

I've been taught that the only place Ebay doesn't object to
outside urls is on your "about me" page.

Many use this to put a link to a page where they have an email
capture form for people interested in the type of product that
they auction.

I had gotten the impression from some prior posts or something
that it used to be ok to mention outside URLs as long as they
were not actual links AND THAT NOW even that's not ok.

That's my understanding too Ken. I have run many auctions
where I linked to one of my sites for them to get more
information. The idea was to attract traffic to my sites while
running the auction... and building my mailing lists some too.

I understand that is now not allowed. It was a tactic that they
caught on to and they want their percentage of any deal
resulting from you using Ebay :)
