Louis
Hello

I was just wondering (and if you don't mind sharing) if you could personally recommend anyone that can help with any of the following tasks:

Proof reading & copy editing - especially of audio transcripts

Audio editing - tidying up teleconference audio, removing coughs...etc.

Software development - especially server side stuff including PHP, MySQL ...etc. generally running on FreeBSD.
I've got a real backlog of stuff that needs doing and not enough hours in the day!

And I've always found it's worked better going through personal recommendations for services.

Thank you very much in advance for any recommendations you can offer regarding these! :)

Sincerely,
Louis

Louis,

Shoot me an email if you're still looking and I'll connect you.

Louis;

I have a small recording studio I currently use for voiceovers and radio work. I use DigiDesign ProTools, and removing line noise, mic thumps, and other audio atrocities are done on a regular basis.

I'd love to be able to help and contribute to the cause!

Let me know what your needs are.
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Louis, I can help as far as editing and proof reading - I'm not too good on the other stuff. Just reply and let me know what I can do for ya - Dave ;)

Louis,

I did get your email on this and will be responding. Thanks!

If you'll drop me an email I'd be happy to check and see if the person I use the availability. They have a lot of customers so
sometimes the transcriptionist is backed up.

Thank you very much for all your input with this. I believe I've now got the proof-reading and copy-editing side of things resolved.

In the past for software development I've gone to RentAcoder.com but was disappointed with how it turned out. I've now decided to try out eLance.com so fingers crossed that works out well.

I'm still currently looking at options for editing audio. The problem with this is I'm very particular about how I like the final audio and I've got a system that works well for me. If I have the time, I may continue to do this myself.

Well, thank you once again for all your help and suggestions. :)

Louis,

I've used Elancers to do everything from transcriptions, to
compiling a loose collection of recipes into a cookbook, to
designing a book cover.

The biggest difficulty was due to cultural difference when trying
to explain exactly what I was looking for in a book cover.

I have heard that due to Elance's tremendous popularity and
success, that you may get a better buy on RentACoder.

I now use a friend, who uses CoolEdit, to edit my audiofiles.

Good luck with your project.

I did get a good deal at RentACoder (I believe it was a Computer Science student) but the final software had a lot of issues.

If those issues are guaranteed to be avoided, I'll be happy to pay more this time. The current quote I'm looking at (at eLance.com) is pretty reasonable. I'm asking him a ton of questions before we get started, just to make sure. ;)

Thank you.

It's actually several projects I've had on the back burner for a while that I *really* want to get live in the first half of this year.

I'm currently sitting on around 30 hours of very valuable audio that's going to be turned into two products.

I'm very excited about these products and I feel that some of the information we've collected is quite remarkable and unique.

Louis,

I started the new year off with 2 (two) teleseminars and getting
a bunch of projects off the "burner." It's a great way to start
off the new year with some positive motion. I have more
projects sitting "in the chute" than I can count, but I like being
involved in different projects at the same time.

Get them done "completed" my friend.

Thanks Willie. I really do hope to get them all live pretty soon. :)

I guess I'm adjusting to making the transition in my business from doing everything myself, to outsourcing what needs to be done so I can get things to market quicker, and focus more on the day to day business and marketing side of things.
