Niche
Marketing

The catch phrase on the Internet today is Niche Marketing.
Sounds fancy, so what is it?
Niche Marketing is specializing in a specific market segment.
To reap the real rewards from Niche Marketing, it’s best to
find a market that is large enough to provide a steady profit
and has minimal competition.
An example from my childhood would be old Sy, the Honey
Dipper. If you’ve ever lived in the country, you know the
Honey Dipper is the person that empties the tanks in your
backyard.
At that time I didn’t know anything about niche markets, but
I did know that Sy always had a wallet full of cash. Economic
conditions didn’t matter. Everybody needed old Sy sooner or
later.
He had his niche and had no competition.
Well I don’t know about you, but I couldn’t see myself going
into the Honey Dipping business. Luckily there’s a vast
untapped market that you could tap into right know and it’s
growing every day.
What if I told you about a market segment that controls 50%
of the discretionary spending in the US. and is only courted
by 5% of the ad dollars?
I’m talking about the over 50 crowd.
They have all that spending money and are being ignored by
95% of the marketers.
Advertisers are so obsessed with the youth market, they’re
letting the over 50 money slip right through their fingers.
That’s good news for you.
If you wrote down everything that would appeal to this
segment of the population, I guarantee you could come up
with at least one product or service that you could profit
from.
So if you’re having trouble making money, maybe it’s time
you quit following the followers and took the path less
traveled.
Wishing You Success,
John Colanzi
