Is Alive And Kicking"

What, not dead yet? I mean gee, you thought, last fall people
were screaming from the roof tops, "The King Is Dead, Long Live
The King."
And this winter, with many pundits calling anti-spam legislation
a flop or worse, you were getting ready to pass the incense,
call in your favorite spiritualist (Priest, Rabbi or Inman) and
do last rites, while trying to figure out, "What the heck is
this RSS and blogging stuff about anyway."
True, there are serious problems with the Internet plumbing.
Running a blog with an RSS feed has merit, especially if your
target market is the technical literati. And using e-mail to tap
people on the shoulder and let them know of a new post has
excellent potential for a marketing blog.
At times, between this virus, the next Trojan horse, messages
telling you how to increase the size of a certain body part,
along with promises of great wealth from the newest Nigerian
minstrel, you probably feel at times like the store was getting
ready to float down the river.
But don't start digging the grave yet. If you listen closely,
while checking your six shooter as you scan all those lovely
headlines in your junk mail box, looking for any errant love
notes, purchase orders, or other missives for retrieval, you can
hear the drummer boy in the distance at the head of the column,
as the soldiers come marching down the path.
"Oh now, not another saga about email and postage stamps," you ask.
No, but are you familiar with how SMTP works, TEOS, SPF and the
Turn Tide Router?
"I am sorry, were you speaking English, do you mind repeating
yourself?"
Sure. SPF and the Turn Tide Router are the new armies recently
formed to do battle against the online vandals.
Before we go any further, as this may take a bit longer than 5
minutes, I have posted the whole piece online for your reading

(Oh yes, to assist you in dealing with our wayward friends from
