Hi Louis & other readers,

I've got a customer who is having problems playing the videos in Vol 7. He has Flash installed (latest version), and he is using Internet Explorer, but for some reason when he opens the "View this" file, he sees nothing.

I'm at a loss (although I did have a couple of suggestions for him). Does anyone have any suggestions I could pass on?

Since there's so many different variables with people's computers, the best I've managed to do with any video playing issues is to refer people to Macromedia.

Here's my standard advice for these issues. And to be perfectly honest, following this to the letter is what solved my own Flash playing issues when I initially started getting involved with these videos...



The best advice I can offer is to ensure you have unzipped the files fully, and that you are using Internet Explorer to play the videos in.

And beyond that, I can only recommend following the advice of Macromedia from the following links:

Thanks Louis. I agree the number of things that could be wrong is huge. I think it's one of those things that would be easy to solve if I was in front of their computer, but via email is very hard!

(One of the reasons I've never gone into tech support!)
