Hi
Family,
I've recently tried recording using a microphone I've had
for a while(hadn't used in a while too) - it sucked!
I need you to recommend a good microphone to use with
a computer.
I know that I can search @ RadioShack and other places,
but would really appreciate knowing what you personally
use and recommend.
And while we're at it, what's your fave audio recording
program?

I
recently bought a Logitech microphone (actually a headphone/microphone
set).

I haven't tried it out heavily yet, but it's done well in initial
tests. The real test will be when I create a set of desktop videos
over the next few days.
It plugs in via the USB port, which is something I like since it means
I can use it on both PC and Mac :)
Cheers,
Jason

Hi
Yoon
What I use for recording videos is a simple head set microphone.
I got it very cheaply for around £6 ($10) from a Games/Computer shop
in the UK.
And for recording videos, I personally use Camtasia:

A cheaper piece of software which I've heard also works well is HyperCam:

Hi Jason
My head set microphone also has earphones, but they've never really
worked, so I simply use it for recording.
Unlike yours, mine works with the standard jack that you plug into
your sound card.
Works pretty well, but like all things I need to tweak quite a bit
to get the sound quality as high as I can.
With me there's also the issue that I live next to a main road, so
depending what time of the day it is background noise can sometimes
be intrusive.
Sincerely,
Louis
